Barcelona are on the brink of a massive transfer, with reports from Catalan daily Sport claiming Yaya Toure is all but sold to Manchester City for a substantial €30M. Despite struggling for appearances at Barca in his last season, the Ivory Coast player joins brother Kolo Toure at Eastlands, with the mega-rich club confident the second choice behind Seydou Keita, is the man to anchor the Citizens’ midfield.

Corporate CEO of Barcelona, Joan Oliver, admitted that "negotiations are very mature” and that all that remained was the need to complete some procedural tasks and the subsequent final announcement.

Toure has been a disgruntled member of the Barcelona squad for some time now, publicly stating, through his agent, that he was unhappy with his bit part role in the side.
