Palermo’s in-demand defender Simon Kjaer has reportedly expressed a preference for German side Wolfsburg should he leave the Serie A club. Linked with moves to Inter and Liverpool in recent weeks, a decision to move to the Bundesliga would come as something of a surprise.

Part of the Denmark World Cup squad, the race for Kjaer’s signature over the next few weeks is sure to hot up following their elimination from the tournament.

While Palermo would no doubt love to hold onto the 21-year-old starlet, they may find it hard to resist the big money bids which are sure to head their way.
