Argentina coach Diego Maradona believes his team will head into their quarter-final showdown with Germany full of confidence after seeing off Mexico 3-1 in their last 16 clash yesterday. And the player considered Argentina’s best ever also promised supporters that his men would beat the Germans.
"We know that Germany are a different team to Mexico", said Maradona, noting that the Germans were highly impressive in their 4-1 win over England. Before going on to promise: "We will field the right players to beat them."
The South American giants were superb in their beating of Mexico yesterday, bagging the 3-1 win through two goals from the in-form Carlos Tevez and one from Gonzalo Higuain.
