English Premier League club West Ham United have made a €12M offer for Nice star Loic Remy. The French striker is highly rated in his homeland and already has one senior cap to his name.

The London club have, according to L’Equipe, proposed to pay Nice three separate payments of €4M for Remy, keen as they are to take the 23-year-old to England. However, the French side are not happy with the proposal to spread out the transfer fee, would prefer a lump sum, and also believe West Ham have undervalued the forward.

Remy has attracted interest from a whole host of Ligue 1 clubs over the past 12 months as well as a number of Italian sides. Nice are therefore not expected to have any trouble drumming up a rival offer to that of the English club, though they would prefer to keep the striker for at least another year.
