AC Milan have emerged as the latest club to show an interest in former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole. Currently a free agent after his contract expired at Stamford Bridge, Cole is in demand, with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also keen on his services.

Cole’s agent told Calcio Mercato that his client was heading off on holiday following England’s unsuccessful World Cup bid and would make a decision on his future upon his return. He also commented that both AC Milan and Juventus hold a serious interest in the midfielder.

Milan believe Cole’s demands of €3.2M per season, for three years, are perfectly reasonable given there would be no transfer fee involved. A move to Serie A could also represent a welcome chance of scenery from English football for the 28-year-old.
