Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of signing midfielder Mathieu Bodmer according to reports from France Football. The 27-year-old has been identified by the capital club as a quality addition to their options in the middle of the park for next season and they are confident of completing the deal within the next 24 hours.

Bodmer should cost PSG a fee of €2.5M, although it is not yet known what length contract he will sign.

The midfielder joined Lyon in 2007 from Ligue 1 rivals Lille. At the time he signed, Bodmer had attracted interest from several of Europe’s heavyweights. Yet the former Lille player never really fulfilled that promise at Lyon.
