Talks are expected to continue between Marseille and Atletico Madrid over the transfer of full back Taye Taiwo, according to French paper La Provence. The Spanish club are very keen to snap up the Nigerian and the French champions are willing to sanction the transfer, but only for the right price.

Marseille value Taiwo at a fee in the region of €10M, while Atletico Madrid are reportedly only willing to offer the French half this amount. Both sides hope progress can be made when they speak again.

Taiwo lost his spot in the Marseille side last season with the arrival of Gabriel Heinze and with the Argentine a solid performer he is unlikely to get it back. The Nigeria star is believed to be willing to try La Liga, but a fee still appears some way from being agreed.
