Holland striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is almost certain to be heading out of the San Siro when his future is resolved at the end of the World Cup. The Italian side are keen to raise money to use on other targets and the Duchman has failed to catch fire in Serie A. However, a question mark still hands over Huntelaar’s destination.

Reports from Italy suggest that the Dutchman likes the idea of linking up with countrymen Arjen Robben, Mark van Bommel and Louis van Gaal at Bayern Munich. And while the Germans would welcome the striker, there is little prospect they would pay what Milan deem the going rate.

A far more attractive option for the Italians is to sell Huntelaar to Ligue 1 champions Marseille. Didier Deschamps is prepared to send €16M to Milan in order to bag the striker.
