Serie A side Parma have moved to boost their defensive options with the capture of Argentine defender Gabriel Paletta from Boca Juniors. the 24-year-old will be presented to the media and club’s fans later today.

Paletta has played his football in Europe once before, having been snapped up by then Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez in 2006. Unfortunately, Paletta failed to make the grade at Anfield and soon found himself shipped back to his native Argentina.
