Real Madrid legend Raul is edging closer towards the exit door at the Bernabeu. The 33-year-old is keen to enjoy regular first team football before hanging up his boots and is giving close attention to an offer from German side Schalke.

The Bundesliga outfit have reportedly placed a two-year contact worth €5M in front of the Spanish star and are waiting eagerly for his response. 

German paper Sportbild claims that Raul and his agent met representatives of the Ruhr club three weeks ago in Madrid, to talk about putting the finishing touches to the deal. For Raul this next step is very important as it is likely to be his last.
