Inter have reached an agreement with striker Diego Milito which will see the Argentina star extend his contract at the San Siro until 2014. Milito was Inter’s hero in their Champions League final win over Bayern Munich in May and will see his efforts well rewarded by the Italian giants.

The player’s agent Fernando Hidalgo confirmed to SKY yesterday that an agreement was complete.

"It’s all in place. We finalise the contract tomorrow, then fly to Buenos Aires to let Diego sign it, then take it back to Italy to take it to Italian FA headquarters."

While the amount Milito will earn as not revealed, it can be safely assumed the striker will have pocketed a nice pay rise.
