Reports in Brazil suggest that Flamengo are planning an outrageous bid to bring Ronaldinho back home from AC Milan. The midfield wizard is currently on holiday back in his homeland and has been made aware of the Rio club’s interest in his services.

According to Globoesporte, Ronaldinho recently had lunch with Flamengo’s new president Patricia Amorim and discussions soon turned to how the Selecao legend could move to join the Rio giants.

Flamengo are, apparently, prepared to pay Ronaldinho €4.5M per year, comfortably the highest salary ever in the history of Brazilian domestic football. That amount though, is still half of what Ronaldinho currently earns with Milan.

For Milan, the prospect may actually be welcome, as offloading Ronaldinho from their wage bill would give them further space to complete their dream summer signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
