Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has his heart set on taking Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to the Allianz Arena. Reports from Holland confirm Van Gaal will jet off to watch tomorrow’s World Cup final, however, he will also use the opportunity to sound out Huntelaar over the prospect of a move.

AC Milan are known to be ready to cash in on the Dutch striker who has flopped in Serie A since making the move from Real Madrid. The Italians already have an offer of some €16M on the table from Marseille and would undoubtedly be looking for a similar amount from Van Gaal.

Huntelaar’s view of any move to Bayern Munich is not known, but the striker rejected a switch to the Bundesliga with Stuttgart when he chose to leave Madrid for Milan.
