Spain coach Vicente del Bosque dedicated his team’s World Cup triumph to all the people of Spain and also warned that his side are not finished yet. The Spaniards were made to work hard for their 1-0 win over Holland in Soccer City last night, and through taking the game to extra time simply increased the tension back in their homeland.

One goal from Andres Iniesta was enough however, and Del Bosque was delighted to be able to present Spain, struggling through tough economic times, with a boost.

"Spain, the country, deserves this triumph", said Del Bosque. "This goes beyond sport. We have to celebrate and are delighted to be able to offer this victory to all the people of Spain."

The coach also warned: "This World Cup draws from what we did in 2008 and it is the continuity and continuation of a very good legacy."
