Tottenham Hotspur are delighted to have signed manager Harry Redknapp to a new contract. The former Portsmouth boss has committed himself to staying with the White Hart Lane side until 2013 and the move should put to bed speculation over Redknapp’s future.

Redknapp guided Spurs into the top four last season, ensuring that Champions League football will be on display this year. The 63-year-old had been linked to the job of England manager if Fabio Capello had parted company with the Football Association following an awful showing in South Africa.

Spurs can now look forward to some much needed managerial stability as they plot how to remain amongst the top four in the Premier League.
