Real Madrid have given club icons Guti and Raul extra time off as the duo decide exactly where their future lies. Both will be required to start pre-season training on the later date of 26th July according to Marca, leaving open the very real possibility that neither will train under new coach Jose Mourinho at all.

Guti has been heavily linked with moves to Turkey and Italy, with Galatasaray and Roma very keen on his services, while Greek side Olympiacos are reported to have offered him a €7M three-year contract. However, if Guti cannot find an agreement with a new club, then Real Madrid will expect him back at the Bernabeu.

Raul was believed to have done a deal with Schalke, but nothing has gone through as of yet and MLS side New York Red Bulls are very interested in securing his services.

Both are likely to leave though, as each search for first team football which Jose Mourinho cannot guarantee.
