According to reports from Italy, Manchester City’s representatives touched down in the country last night, focused on closing deals for both Lazio full back Aleksandar Kolarov and Inter striker Mario Balotelli.

A move for Kolarov is thought the closer of the two to fruition, with City ready to pay €19M for the Serbian World Cup star, an amount that should tempt Lazio into selling one of their most prized assets.

The situation with regard to Balotelli is a little more unclear, with Inter technical director Marco Branca dubbing the striker "priceless" only yesterday. However, City’s officials will meet Branca today and discuss their options for the purchase of the young forward.

If all goes well then the officials could return to Eastlands with the signatures of both players.
