As the prospect of Cesc Fabregas moving to Barcelona from Arsenal seems to decrease every day, some in the Catalan capital still hold out hope that the midfielder could return home this summer.

While yesterday saw members of the Barcelona board deny reports that they were heading to London to negotiate for Fabregas, Catalan daily Sport reports that it may be the midfielder himself who pushes the deal through. The paper reports that Barcelona believe Fabregas will speak to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to make clear his desire to head home this summer and not next.

It would seem, that with the Camp Nou giants unwilling to meet what they consider to be an outrageous price tag that has been slapped on Fabregas by Arsenal, they are banking on the midfielder making the move happen as their last hope.
