Zenit St. Petersburg have pounced to snap up striker Aleksandr Bukharov from Premier League rivals Rubin Kazan. The forward has managed three goals in ten league games this season and his arrival will be seen as a coup for the St. Petersburg side.

Rubin Kazan, the current Russian champions, have received €12M for Bukharov and the striker has penned a four-year deal with Zenit.

Despite impressing in Russia’s top flight, Bukharov has yet to make the breakthrough at international level for his country and will be hoping a move to Zenit can help his chances with Dick Advocaat’s team.
