AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has said that his club received an offer from Real Madrid from Thiago Silva, but decided against accepting it. Berlusconi was speaking to the press on a number of Milan’s transfer dealings when he confirmed that he intended to hold onto the Brazilian.

"We’ve had offers from Real Madrid for Thiago Silva and we stood firm", said Milan’s billionaire owner.

There had also been speculation that the Rossoneri were ready to allow Ronaldinho to head back to Brazil with Flamengo, but this too was dismissed by Berlusconi.

"Ronaldinho wants to be here, and I’m sure he is very happy to stay." The Italian supremo also commented that he believed it was quite likely AC Milan would end up being Ronaldinho’s last club.

On Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swede who has so interested Milan throughout the summer so far, Berlusconi questioned whether the striker would fit into Milan and was unsure on that point.
