Despite denials over the availability of Cesc Fabregas, a report from Catalan radio station Ona FM, has suggested Arsene Wenger may be prepared to negotiate over his Arsenal captain. Up until now, The Gunners have not budged from a €60M valuation of Fabregas, an amount which is, at the present time, unaffordable for Barcelona.

The radio station is sure that talks are getting started over Fabregas, after Wenger signalled a willingness to at least listen to offers. For Barcelona the news will be encouraging as new president Sandro Rosell had all but written off his club’s chances of signing the midfielder this summer.

Yesterday, Catalan daily Sport reported that Barcelona were hopeful Fabregas would speak to Wenger to push for a move, this being their last hope. If the Frenchman has done a U-turn, it is quite possible the scenario the Camp Nou giants were banking on, whereby Fabregas makes the move possible, is beginning to unfold.
