According to Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has come an agreement over personal terms with Greek giants Olympiacos, but that does not mean the deal is done quite yet.

Gattuso remains keen to stay at the San Siro, but is desperate for first team football. A move to Athens would be acceptable however, given that his agent has negotiated personal terms of €1.7M per season for the Italian enforcer.

What remains though is for the player’s situation with the Rossoneri to be resolved, and the Italian paper believes that Gattuso will want a sum of €2M from Milan, for ending a lucrative contract early and heading to Greece. This amount is equal to that which Milan would demand of Olympiacos, and therefore Gattuso would effectively be leaving on a free transfer.
