German international Sami Khedira is expected to make a decision about his move from VfB Stuttgart to Real Madrid "next week at the latest".

The 23-year-old midfielder who shone with some impressive performances during the World Cup in South Africa, has been targeted by the Jose Mourinho-led Spanish giants and says he is seriously considering a possible switch after he met with Los Blancos’ bosses more than a week ago.

In an interview with German newspaper Bild, the German-Tunisian talent stresses his eagerness to complete the move: "I would not have wasted my thoughts on any other club than Real at this moment. Everything is still open however. I will make a decision within the next days or next week at the latest."

Khedira, who has been playing for Stuttgart since his youth, has won the Bundesliga title one in 2006/07 and is a vital part of the young German Nationalmannschaft.
