Mexican defensive stalwart Rafael Marquez could be on his way out of Barcelona, but only if he heads to join Thierry Henry at New York Red Bulls.

Marquez, who has been a dependable member of the Barcelona squad since moving to the Camp Nou from Monaco in 2003, is keen to enjoy more first team football. At the age of 31, Marquez would be a valuable addition to any side.

According to France Football, Barcelona are willing to allow Marquez to leave on a free transfer, providing he goes to New York. The Mexican defender has suggested he would enjoy linking up with Thierry Henry in MLS and the deal could soon happen.

However, both Genoa and Juventus are tracking Marquez and should the Mexican fancy a move to either of those then Barcelona would want between €3-5M for his services.
