La Liga side Real Mallorca have completed a swoop for Jonathan de Guzman. The 22-year-old arrives in Spain from Dutch club Feyenoord after his contract with the Eredivisie side expired.
The Canadian midfielder had been on Espanyol’s wanted list in early June, but Mallorca have stolen a march over their rivals and snapped up the player.
De Guzman has inked a three-year deal with Mallorca and the Spanish will hope he can help to keep them near the top of the table this season following a fine campaign in 2009/10.
