Lille’s highly rated midfielder Ludovic Obraniak could yet remain at the Ligue 1 club as rivals Auxerre find it difficult to close a deal for the 25-year-old.
Obraniak is believed to be keen for a new challenge and was open to the possibility of a move to Auxerre, however, no fee between the two clubs has been able to be agreed. L’Equipe reports that Lille value their Polish star at around €4M, while Auxerre have only offered €2.5M.
All the signs point to Obraniak therefore remaining at Lille and trying to help the club improve on last season’s fourth place finish in Ligue 1.
