Tottenham Hotspur are paying close attention to Lyon midfielder Jean Makoun and could yet move for the 28-year-old before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon would not be opposed to an approach from the Premier League side and would be looking to recoup at least half of the €14M they shelled out for Makoun. The defensive midfielder’s contract with the French side runs out in 2012.
The Cameroon star only joined the Ligue 1 giants in 2008, moving from Lille after impressing over a number of seasons with the northern French club.
