Arsenal star Robin van Persie has spoken of his commitment to The Gunners and explained that he feels he owes the club his services.
The Dutch star has been linked with several European giants in Italy and Spain over the summer, but never really looked set to leave the Emirates, as his comments suggest.
"I believe in this team", said Van Persie, "and I’ve never stopped believing.
"Here I had the opportunity to develop my quality because the club know how to believe and trust in youth, a bit like Barcelona. So I must repay Arsenal for all they have done for me."
The Gunners can take heart from a day when both Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas have reaffirmed their belief in Arsene Wenger’s project.
