Brazilian side Fluminense have completed the capture of Chelsea midfielder Deco after the Portugal star secured his release from Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old midfielder, who was born in Brazil but turned out for Portugal after many years of football in the European country, has barely played in his homeland and was keen to do so before he hangs up his boots. The former FC Porto star should have a good few years of football left in his legs yet and Fluminense will want to coax that out of the Champions League winner.

For Fluminense the signing is a real coup after the Serie A side chased Deco’s signature since the start of the summer. Deco has signed a two-year contact with the club and will be presented at a press conference tomorrow.
