Nice expect the transfer saga surrounding Loic Remy to come to a conclusion sooner rather than later. The 23-year-old striker has been chased by a number of sides for much of the summer, but so far he remains at the Stade Municipal du Ray.

It is English teams who have led the chase for Remy and the odds are still in favour of the forward enjoying Premier League football this season. Amongst those known to be watching developments closely are Stoke City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United; Rennes, Lyon and Bordeaux have all been priced out of a move.

Currently sources in France believe it is Spurs who are in pole position to bag the forward. Liverpool appear to lack the necessary funds to launch a bid, while Remy would prefer White Hart Lane and Champions League football to a mid-table slog with either Stoke or West Ham.
