Following a long running summer transfer saga it appears Loic Remy may be on the verge of seeing his future resolved. Tracked at various points by Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Rennes, Lyon, Stoke City and West Ham United, it seems the entry of Ligue 1 champions Marseille into the race could prove crucial.

Reports from France suggest Marseille have made an offer of some €15M for Remy which Nice have deemed acceptable. Didier Deschamps’ side are now ready to put the finishing touches to a five-year contract for the striker and unveil him as Mamadou Niang’s successor.

While Remy looks on the cusp of signing for Marseille, Lyon could still make a late late bid which would be considered by Nice and the forward. Bundesliga side Hoffenheim reportedly offered €16M yesterday, one million more than Marseille, but were politely informed that Remy does not wish to head to the Bundesliga.
