Liverpool may be ready to make a move to strengthen their right flank. Reports from France suggest Roy Hodgson is keen on Lille defender-cum-midfielder Mathieu Debuchy and should make a move within the coming days.

25-year-old Debuchy is a Lille stalwart, having never played for any other club, and having clocked up 200 appearances for the French side. Although not capped for the senior France side, Debuchy is nevertheless considered a solid pro at club level and new Blues boss Laurent Blanc did include him in the squad which faced Norway earlier this month.

With a contract that expires in 2012, L’Equipe report that Hodgson is ready to make contact over the next few days and offer Debuchy a dream switch to Anfield.
