Juventus striker David Trezeguet is keen on moving to Lazio, but the Rome club have set Roque Santa Cruz as their primary target. The Paraguayan striker is believed to be close to sealing a switch from England to Serie A, but any failure to do so would increase Trezeguet’s chances of landing up at Lazio.
The Frenchman’s agent Antonio Caliendo said he suggested his client to Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
"This is a striker in the first bracket of the international level. I suggested David Trezeguet to Lotito."
Caliendo was confident that the Juventus striker would welcome a move to Lazio, but also made sure he let it be known just how in-demand Trezeguet currently is.
"David is a player who now no longer has anything to prove to anyone, his value is obvious to all….Trezeguet has many fans: He has been called by Hercules and talked to Zaragoza, but before that [there may be] a chance to play for Lotito’s Lazio and he said he was excited."
