After stocking up with Carlos Eduardo (€20M from Hoffenheim) and Obafemi Martins (€9M from Wolfsburg) Russian champions Rubin Kazan have signed another young talent to strengthen their team as they go in search of a second title in the Russian Premier League.

According to Russian media, the Tatars succeeded in snapping up 23-year-old Salvatore Bocchetti from Genoa, who was also on Juventus’ radar until a few days ago. The young centre back has signed a 3.5-year contract and was aquired for €9.5M.

With Champions League games against Barcelona, Panathinaikos and Copenhagen in the pipeline, Rubin Kazan have decided to splash the cash to make an impact in Europe.
