Reports from Italy suggest that AC Milan have instructed super-agent Mino Raiola, so instrumental in the transfer of Mario Balotelli to Manchester City, to fly to England and negotiate a deal for Robinho. Milan are keen to pip Barcelona to the signing of the Brazilian and have asked Raiola to speak to City to conclude a deal.

Milan have offloaded Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Schalke and may well send Marco Borrriello to Juventus, freeing up space on their wage bill to bring in Robinho. The preference would be for a season-long loan agreement, though an outright transfer cannot be ruled out.

Robinho is keen to exit Eastlands before the transfer window slams shut and there looks set to be hours of negotiation as he attempts to secure a move away from England. However, with Raiola discussing details with City, Robinho could be on his way to Italy imminently.
