AC Milan have snapped up Robinho on a permanent transfer from Manchester City. The Brazilian was keen to exit Eastlands before the transfer window shut and the Serie A club have granted his wish. Robinho has signed a four-year deal with the Italians.

At present the fee paid for Robinho is not known, but the striker joins Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a new-look strikeforce at the San Siro which will surely make AC Milan title contenders once again.

That the deal is a permanent transfer comes as something of a surprise as Milan were only expected to take Robinho on a season-long loan deal. The move brings to an end the 26-year-old’s turbulent spell in the Premier League.
