Stoke City have completed deals for Marc Wilson from Portsmouth (with Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence moving the other way), Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jermaine Pennant.

Wilson has cost Stoke between £4-5M and his move had been delayed while the club negotiated with both Kitson and Lawrence for them to head to Fratton Park.

Gudjohnsen has signed with the club on loan until the end of the season, arriving from Ligue 1 side Monaco. Pennant arrives on loan from La Liga side Real Zaragoza until January. The former Liverpool winger has struggled to make much of an impact in Spain.

Stoke also re-signed midfielder Salif Diao who had seen his contract with the club expire at the start of the summer. Diao was believed to be interested in playing abroad, but has signalled his intention to see out his career in the Potteries after signing a two-year deal.
