Fenerbahce are confident of completing a move for Joseph Yobo before the Turkish transfer window closes today. Everton have given their consent for Yobo to head to Istanbul on a season-long loan deal, but the defender must still pass a medical.

The Turkish giants will have the option of making the move permanent at the end of the loan period and have been searching for extra defensive recruits for most of the transfer window.

29-year-old Yobo joined Everton in 2002 from French side Marseille and has made well over 200 appearances for the Merseyside club. However, it now appears his time in a blue shirt is coming to an end.
