Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has told the Bernabeu faithful not to worry about only having drawn his first La Liga game away to Mallorca, but also joked that he is not Harry Potter.
Mourinho watched as his Real Madrid side dropped two points away at the island club over the weekend, while Barcelona coasted to a comfortable 3-0 win away to Racing Santander. But the Portuguese boss told Los Blancos fans not to worry.
"I’ll tell you one thing, for the most superstitious of you. My seasons at Porto and Inter always started with a draw and were finished with a title. That’s how it starts and how it ends with me."
However, Mourinho did concede that his coaching skills are without magic and he is "not Harry Potter" – there is no secret formula.
"In reality there is no magic in what I do. The magic is fiction, what I saw in the world of football is real."
