AC Milan’s new Brazilian Robinho has been speaking out on his troubled relationship with Manchester City and manager Roberto Mancini. Robinho swapped Eastlands for the San Siro on transfer deadline day and was happy to exit the Premier League club.

Robinho told The People newspaper that he did not enjoy the best of relationships with Mark Hughes or his successor Roberto Mancini.

"Neither of them ever understood me", said the Brazilian, "and Mancini never had confidence in me."

Full of confidence Robinho declared that was the reason Manchester City never saw the best of him, because he must be happy when he plays.

"I’m a special player and I need to be happy when I play. It was so at Real Madrid, but never at City. The start was good, but England is a difficult country and I had problems adapting."
