Arsene Wenger and Arsenal fans were left worrying about the state of Theo Walcott after the quick winger picked up a knock and was forced off against Switzerland last night, but have been reassured the injury is not serious.

Walcott was already beginning to enjoy what looked as if it would be a fine night for the youngster until Yves Oehri clipped him and the winger was instantly in some discomfort.

That it is an injury to the ankle has been confirmed and although the precise nature of the knock and length of time on the sidelines has not, both Capello and Walcott are certain it is not serious.

"I spoke with Theo and he told me it is not a big problem", said Capello, before adding, "I said ‘two weeks?’, he said ‘less’."
