Borussia Dortmund are keen to re-sign midfielder Steven Pienaar if the South African is unable to come to an agreement over extending his contract with Everton according to British radio station TalkSport.
Pienaar sees his Everton deal expire next summer and has so far failed to come to an agreement with the Merseyside club. The midfielder enjoyed some good years in Germany and is known to be a fan of the Bundesliga and playing in front of the 70,000 Dortmund regularly attract each week.
Everton though are confident of coming to an agreement with Pienaar regarding a new deal, although it is believed they do not want to go to more than £50,000 per week. However, with Pienaar able to leave without a fee being due next summer, it would be surprising to see Everton run that risk.
