Jose Mourinho has been impressed with the progress of Karim Benzema at Real Madrid and is ready to snub any January advances from Manchester United and Juventus.

The future of the Frenchman has been the subject of much debate and Mourinho was keen for Benzema to improve the intensity of his training at Los Blancos. However, Mourinho has been delighted with Benzema’s performances of late and providing the former Lyon striker can continue to keep the Portuguese happy, his future at the Bernabeu looks secure.

Such news is hardly likely to persuade Manchester United and Juventus to end their interest in Benzema though, and much can happen between now and the opening of the January transfer window. But at present Mourinho is minded to reject any bids.
