Franck Ribery has ruled out any resurrection of a deal with Real Madrid, even though he knows Jose Mourinho is a big fan, insisting he is happy and settled now at Bayern Munich. The French winger was a target for Los Blancos last summer, but Bayern dug their heels in and prevented the transfer.

And while Real Madrid did not return this summer, it is believed president Florentino Perez and his advisor Zinedine Zidane would both like to see Ribery in a white shirt at some point.

But, despite knowing current Los Blancos boss Mourinho rates him, Ribery has ruled out a deal.

"Yes, [with Real Madrid] it’s over"
, Ribery told Kicker. "I am very pleased to have signed with Bayern Munich until 2015. Munich has always been a great club for me, it’s like a big family here. I know that Mr Mourinho appreciates me and likes the way I play. But what is most important is that I was convinced the best thing to do was to extend [my contract]."
