The coach who led Ghana to the last eight of the World Cup, Milovan Rajevac, has been appointed as the new boss of Saudi Arabian side Al Ahly.

Serbian Rajevac was expected to remain coach of the Black Stars following a fine performance in South Africa, but an uneasy relationship with the country’s FA was reported to have led to problems and the 56-year-old saw his services no longer required.

Highly rated, but somewhat inexperienced outside his homeland – Ghana had been Rajevac’s first job abroad – the Serbian will now look to repeat his magic in the Saudi league.
