Jose Mourinho is beginning the stamp his authority on the Real Madrid squad as stories emerge of the Portuguese sticking to his training regime and demanding his players do the same.

According to Marca, goalkeeper Iker Casillas asked Mourinho whether training, which takes place at 10am, could be postponed until 11am. This would, according to the Spaniard, allow Real Madrid’s players to take their children to school in the mornings and then report for training. Mourinho though, rejected the plea.

The former Inter coach stated that the time of training is sacred and will not be changed, no doubt leaving Casillas a little unhappy. However, Marca also report that only Ricardo Carvalho and Jerzy Dudek has children of school-going age, making the request all the more bizarre.
