Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has revealed the worst kept secret in English football – that a whole host of clubs are watching Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll closely.
The 21-year-old has made a real splash in the Premier League so far this season and has been linked with some of England’s biggest names including Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
"We’ve looked at Andy", said Pulis to stokecityfc.com. "but there have been loads of clubs looking at him and I’m sure there will be a lot more in the future."
The Stoke manager also said he was sure it was only a matter of time before Carroll made the breakthrough into Fabio Capello’s England squad.
