Fiorentina are bracing themselves for serious interest in some of their top stars when the transfer window reopens in January. The Serie A side have let it be known they want to keep hold of their talents, but rivals Juventus and Inter are both keeping a close eye on the situation.

Chiefly tracked are striker Alberto Gilardino and midfielder Adem Ljajic. 28-year-old Gilardino has impressed in Florence following a poor stint with AC Milan and a number of clubs are considering taking a chance on the Italy international. Outside Serie A, English Premier League side Newcastle are considering a swoop.

Ljajic is mainly tracked by Inter, though that could change, and the young Serbian midfielder is considered an exceptional talent. While Fiorentina will not want to lose the 18-year-old, a big money bid could prove hard to resist.
