Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on Anderlecht’s promising young striker Romelu Lukaku according to Itasportpress. That the Frenchman has been watching Lukaku, along with a whole host of other big clubs, is well known, but now Wenger is believed to be putting the finishing touches to an offer which could see the striker move to London next summer.

Wenger believes that around €15M would be enough to convince the Belgian side to part with Lukaku and that the 17-year-old would appreciate a move to the Emirates is in his best interests.

Lukaku has been compared with Didier Drogba, who Wenger nearly succeeded in signing well before the striker even moved to Marseille where he made his name. Arsenal would surely benefit from more power up front and Lukaku would appear an ideal signing. The Gunners are likely to face opposition for his signature however, as the Belgian is touted as a potential star.
