Newcastle United winger Hatem Ben Arfa looks set to miss the rest of the season after a leg break was confirmed. The Frenchman suffered the injury against Manchester City at the weekend, the result of a shocking challenge from Nigel de Jong.
Ben Arfa’s agent Michel Ouazine confirmed that his client is likely to miss six months of football and given that the winger is only at St. James’ Park on a season-long loan from Marseille, could well have played his last game for the Premier League side.
The future of the 23-year-old is now in some doubt given the circumstances in which he left the Stade Velodrome, forcing through a move to Newcastle and snubbing what would have been a permanent transfer to Werder Bremen.
